First heard this song on Mustard Pimp’s album mini mix and just had this songs 15 second clip on repeat for about 3 days. Pretty sure I even played it at a party. All 15 seconds of it. Song is not a disappointment.

Such a good groove. I think we all have that one friend who is really in to music like this. This song is for them.

Me and You (Steve Angello Remix) – Nero
This song is so my speed its not even funny. To be honest I’ve never really been in to Nero, Steve Angello, or this song but to say that this song is not a banger is tantamount to saying that Don Draper isn’t the MAN.

Pardon My French (Original Mix) – Pierce Fulton
Starts out slow but builds speed then gets awesome at about 2:00.

Posted the orignial version of this last week. If I’m honest the vocals sometimes down really work (especially the Major Lazer ones at the beginning) but its all made up for in the second verse when you get that really sassy lady spitting a sick verse. #swag.

First heard this at a party then decided I needed to find it and distribute it. Good Nirvana remixes are like rare pokémon. Almost impossible to find, but when you do, they’re so worth it.

Sun (Midland Re-edit) – Caribou
More chill house. As it gets colder, we all get a little more subdued. This song has such a palpable after party vibe to it.

Home (Whole-Z Remix) – Edward Sharpe
Ok this song might be a little more electro-y but its got a really timeless hook so that makes up for it. ENJOY.

These are with out a doubt some of the coolest and most unique photos I’ve seen in a really long time. They’re also blowing my mind. Using photoshop and a Samsung L100, JGR managed to merge a person’s face into their profile. Where are they looking? Who knows!? Mind=Blown.

The whole project, titled 1/2 uses the same process to merge two or more images to make some seriously intense and mind bending images. If I stare at some of those photos long enough, I can convince myself that they’re actually profile views.

Not sure whether its the 3 day Halloween party that has just barely ended or Bongo Ball the night before but I feel like my week is just now starting. I’m pretty sure its Bongo Ball.

For those who don’t know, Bongo is an event thats only been around for a few years but has somehow solidified a reputation as one of the best and, more importantly, unique nights of the year. I’m not saying it was perfect, Bongo is never perfect. Thats part of its charm though. It has the distinct ability to fall short in certain areas and yet somehow, perhaps its the incredibly dedicated community that organizes it, the sense of joy within that old airplane hangar when you arrive is always palpable year after year.

I wont make this a long and drawn out description of every detail of the event, so here are the highlights:

The Zambula band has played better sets in past years. Not sure if it was the new sound system they had for this year (which was much smaller and, in my opinion, not loud enough), or perhaps the new stage, but they seemed a lot more subdued than they have been in the past. They also could have been really high.

Burgers were as delicious as always. One of my favorite parts of Bongo is the free burgers. Its such a good idea for events just to provide something for guests eat. Keeps blood sugar up and people out of ambulances.

The music was not loud enough in the main room or the chill out tent this year. Last year, the main hangar must have had 2 10 foot stacks on either side of the stage. This year they had about 1/3 of the sound. I’m not sure if it was a licensing issue or perhaps they got noise complaints and couldn’t get the same rig, but it was kind of a let down. After the band finished their set though, the DJs from the chill out tent asked to have the band’s monitors moved into their tent so they could get some more decent sound. Completely changed the vibe of the room and probably has a lot to do with my final point:

The chill out tent was incredible this year. By the end of the night there were probably more people dancing in the chill out tent than in the main room. Good vibes.

Also, the costumes are always something else:

So. Many. Giraffes. Plus a tiger and, this is just a guess but, a frog?

Even the DJ got into it. Colloquially, I think he was called deadli0n.

I seriously have no idea what I’ve just witnessed. Its either the most rock and roll lingerie film ever or Justin Anderson should be committed. Or both. I don’t quite know what to make of it just yet. Need some opinions.

Agent’s 2011-2012 Soiree collection was released last monday. It seems like a pretty good looking line but I’m not quite sure the video will help sell any clothing (if you can call what they’re selling clothing).

A new initiative by professional creative-type Adam Bryce aims to capture “the first part of the adventure” of traveling by asking people to take photos of the contents of their suitcases. Its a pretty interesting project. You can check out the rest of it over at I Am Packed.

That new iPhone feature that everyone is talking about, the personal assistant one, apparently doesn’t take shit from anybody. In fact, she’s got enough attitude and sass to justify her own tumblr: Shit that Siri Says.
