The SaintAndre.ws Playlist: Week 1
Welcome to week 1. Doesn’t matter what year you’re in, its always kind of bittersweet. It’s exciting to get back into the swing of things but it also kind of sucks because fresher’s week is over. We’ve compiled a list of songs that hopefully will help you through “readings” or “lab work” or whatever excuse you have to not go out. Enjoy. Match made in heaven
No, not Wills and Kate. I am talking about a match made in musical heaven. Two of my favourite producers, Burial and Four Tet have teamed up with arguably the best vocalist of our generation, Thom Yorke.
I apologise for the quality of these two tracks, but they are as yet unreleased, so a radio rip suffices for the moment.
Listen for yourselves, just magic.
The otherside of the jump is the flip side to this track, Ego. Beautiful. Read more ►
Aural pleasure
Despite it being Paris fashion week, Dont Walk approaching rapidly and clothes playing on my mind all I can think about is music. So, I present to you Youandewan. Beautiful, well thought out, atmospheric music – relieving work/hangover/sartorial anxiety. Read more ►
The best sort of farm animals?
First trip to the library of this term and I have already succeeded in making the girl next to me leave after 20mins. Success.
Anyway, thought I’d share a little discovery. Digital Farm Animals are still pretty unknown, Read more ►
She can always be replaced…

Do you need a new indie song slash crush slash obsession? Voila, King Charles. Aside from the fact that I’m jealous of his hair, the song Love Lust is a gem. This London-based musician crosses the boundaries of many genres; his music is a sort of folk, pop, indie, rock fusion, which seems completely incongruous, but definitely works. King Charles’ look is far from royalty, but Read more ►
James Blake

Welcome back for the second semester! We’ll be doing a lot of great things here at SaintAndre.ws throughout the semester (more on that later) but to keep you all going until then, here is what is on our playlist this week:
I’ll Be Gone ‘Til November
I had completely forgotten about Wyclef Jean until this song popped up on my dear friend Lizzie’s reggae playlist. All I can say is GEM. Except it is officially stuck in my head. ENJOY!
Fly Away With Me

Since the Christmas holidays are hastily approaching and a bunch of us will be (weather permitting) flying around the globe to get back home, I thought I would share two of my favorite aeroplane songs in order to usher in the holiday spirit, and to will away the snow from Edinburgh Airport! Primarily Angus and Julia Stone’s song Paper Aeroplane is just fantastic, I cannot stop listening to Read more ►
It’s A Pity
Winter needs epicly more reggae. Enjoy !
Reluctant…
I have a habit of jealously guarding any new musical discovery that I deem really, really special. So, it is with the UTMOST reluctance that I am sharing these guys with you. Read more ►
